In 2007, the Master Developer partnered with Madison Marquette to form a joint venture to rehabilitate the retail and entertainment venues along the Asbury Park boardwalk. The goal was to transform the boardwalk area into a unique retail and entertainment destination. Since 1992, Madison Marquette has been recognized for energizing and transforming properties into vibrant, compelling and successful real estate projects. Today, Madison Marquette is responsible for all of the retail redevelopment activity along the boardwalk, south of Sunset Pavilion (across from Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel). While the City of Asbury Park maintains control and responsibility for the beach and actual boardwalk, Madison Marquette leads the redevelopment effort on Convention Hall, the Casino building and Carousel and the individual retail pavilions located at 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Avenues. Madison Marquette also has rights to construct a new pavilion at 2nd Avenue, across the street from the iconic Stone Pony. To learn more information about the redevelopment taking place along the boardwalk, to include the individual retail pavilions, Convention Hall, the Casino building and Carousel, please contact hello@apboardwalk.com.
